Laura Hunt Montano passed away suddenly on January 12, 2013 in her home on 15201 Rosecroft Road, Rockville, Maryland. Laura was born in Washington, DC on February 17, 1953. She spent her early childhood in Oxon Hill, Maryland where she lived for 6 years. Her family later moved to Silver Spring, MD where she lived through both High School and College. In Silver Spring she enjoyed spending time with her neighborhood friends ice skating, going to the pool, playing badminton and spending time at Deep Creek Lake. Laura was a graduate of St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel, Maryland, class of 1971 and Waynesburg College, where she earned her BS degree in Elementary Education. At Waynesburg she was an active member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority.Laura was pre-deceased by her father Howard Hunt and her brother Roger Hunt. Surviving her are her husband; Robert Francis Montano, Rockville, Maryland, her mother Eileen Kelly Dye, Silver Spring, Maryland, and her beloved children Michele Christina Montano; Fairfax, Virginia, Robert Joseph and Michael Anthony Montano; Rockville, Maryland. She leaves her brother and wife, Gary and Joanne Hunt, Catonsville, Maryland, Brian Hunt, Fairfax, Virginia, her step sister Ellen Dye, Silver Spring, MD, her step brother and his wife, James and Sylvia Dye, Deale, MD her brother in law and wife Fran and Angela Montano, Los Angeles, CA; and sister in law Kathy Pendleton, Broomfield, CO. Also, she leaves her dear nieces and nephews, Kara Gillespie and her husband Joel, Patrick and Kyle Hunt, Fredricksburg, Virginia, Carson Dye, Fairfax, VA, Emily Dye, Annapolis, MD, Tracy Marie, Adam, Joseph and David Pendleton, Broomfield, CO and Grace Emily Montano, Los Angeles, CA.
